Le Jardin is a pearl in the middle of what was back in the days an embassy, but is today a very cool shopping mall in Principe Real. Although the shops are remarkable, dedicated to natural products or national designers, for example, this restaurant is literally the center of the attentions.
Winner of a distinction in the gastronomic contest “Lisboa à Prova”, Le Jardin presents a menu with carefully thought dishes that you can have for a nice lunch (12:00-15:00) or dinner (19:30-23:00), but also a menu dedicated to snacks for different hours of the day. As for the snacks, I suggest you to try the shredded pork sandwich, with a sweet, but at the same time hot sauce. For a vegetarian or vegan meal there are some options, such as, the beet and goat cheese salad or the penne with tomato sauce, olive and fresh tomato. For a lunch, the price is around 15€ and 20€ for dinner, whereas a snack and a drink will set you back 10€ or less.
Le Jardin is not only an excellent choice because of its food. With a glass ceiling, it has the perfect atmosphere for having a glass of wine at the end of a busy day, and if the weather is good you can enjoy the esplanade in the back of the building. On Sundays, you can listen to Fado at Le Jardin, but the place also organizes other kinds of events, such as book readings or themed parties. There is even free parking for clients.
Having said this, it is no surprise that Le Jardin is the choice of a growing number of people to have a nice time, so I suggest you give it a shot too.
