I often ask myself how would the Pub be like if it had been invented in Lisbon. I'm sure it would look a lot like Pub Lisboeta.
Coming in, you would expect that the drinks selection is nice and it is indeed great. The bar prides itself for the wide range of whiskey and tequila, which are unusual in Lisbon. You can also find the typical gin drinks which are popular in most of Lisbon's bars as well. Yet it is also noticeable the diverse set of brands from the blossoming Portuguese scene of craft beer - I recommend trying the wheat Vadia.
The food is so good that you won't even believe it was made at a pub. The musts are the crostini, the pub sandwich or the rosbeef sandwich - choose any of them and you will be delighted. If you lean towards enjoying the day you can also find a lunch menu - soup, sandwich and drink for 10€. Here there is a place for everyone since even the early risers can have breakfast at the pub from 10 am - includes juice, coffee/tea, yogurt, toasts and croissants.
The place is small and it is very popular on weekends. If you want to have a calmer environment then you should go during the afternoon or on weekdays, when it's a perfectly unexpected get away from the business of the day-to-day.
