Kaffehaus Lisboa, open since 2008, offers you an unique opportunity to travel to the heart of Vienna and enjoy your meal right as if you were there. Start with the seats outside, perfect for people watching and enjoying the warm Lisbon sun (not so much these days but one can hope…). Move on to the inside, roomy but still inviting, spread out across a big room and a smaller one, with old Austrian movie posters decoration the walls. The overall mood is nice and just as welcoming for dinner, brunch or just a cup of coffee.

This personality-filled space also comes with food to back up it’s “Lisbon classic” status. There’s Austrian beer on tap and german wine by the glass or bottle (which I highly recommend, if you enjoy a full-bodied flavoursome wine). As for the Austrian classics, there are 5 kinds of sausage, from Käsekrainer to Bratwurst, Viena and Debrecziner. Some are plane, some have a cheese filling and one even comes with a filling of hot paprika. All come with homemade fries and a dipping sauce.

Other food options include 3 options for the also classic Wienerschnitzel and a not-really Austrian-but-delicious burger. This one has Emmental cheese, Austrian crunchy speck and a tzatziki sauce to dip your fries in. Brunch is served on weekends and Holidays and comes in many different options.

Overall, Kaffehaus Lisboa is a must-try for any lover of good food and ambience. Just be warned that it gets pretty busy, so make sure to book if you want to make sure you’ll have a place.
