At Santa Bica, the restaurant is spread out across 3 cozy inside rooms and 1 magnificent outside terrace. The vibe is chilled and the staff is friendly, all in accordance with the overall homey feel of the place.
The food is fantastic and I especially recommend the sauteéd mushrooms and the fried potato peels (a fun twist on the typical french fries). The pica pau, a traditional portuguese dish, cooked to perfection here with tender meat and a tasty sauce. Besides the big variety tapa-like dishes, the menu hosts a selection of main dishes (such as Grilled Cod in Olive Oil and Grilled Steak) and desserts (for instance, the tempting Bica Sin).
Santa Bica has “Eat. Drink. Sleep.” as its tagline. Although I only tried the first two, I take it from their quality that the third one will be just as nice, if you can manage to make the reservation.
So next time you pass by Bica, take that walk down and go inside Santa Bica, it’ll be well worth it.
